What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced professional who demonstrates strong financial planning and analytical skills who can translate data into actionable outcomes. The successful candidate will be confident in data driven analysis and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Special Buys Program.
Role Responsibility
- Create and manage the forecasting and budgeting cycle including managing the financial forecast/budget models for the Specials program, aligning to operational deliverables, and tied to financial strategic targets
- Provide monthly financial analysis
- Perform financial modelling/business case and evaluate the impact for key strategic decisions and present recommendations
- Drive strategic initiatives to ensure Special program goals are met
- Organise, manipulate, and analyse complex data sets through SQL and Power Query
- Triangulate data to support new strategies and manage projects end to end
- Utilise data visualisation tools to effectively communicate business insights
- Support project leads with ad hoc reporting

Selection criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications within a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within an analytics background (ideally within FMCG)
- Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen
- Competency within, SQL and Database integration required
- Experience designing and implementing tools and programs
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to both an autonomous and collaborative working environment
- High attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills
