SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER 2

 

THE ROLE:

AMD Edinburgh has positions available for new graduates in its IP Design team, working on IP for next generation programmable silicon. 

  

THE PERSON:

This is a fantastic opportunity for new or recent graduate Electronic Engineers with a passion for digital design and FPGAs to join a team with access to world-class development infrastructure to work on all aspects of the FPGA development cycle. You'll be working in a well-established team responsible for IP and silicon components and systems for use by the world’s leading wireless telecommunications companies. 

You are a team player who has excellent communication skills. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The roles involve design, development, productization, and release of IP cores to support the very latest upcoming FPGA devices from AMD. This is an opportunity to work on leading-edge technologies and applications that are critical to our company and to our customers’ success.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Some project experience with digital HDL design and FPGAs is desirable.
  • An interest in signal processing and high speed wired and wireless communications is desirable.
  • Some C/C++ experience is desirable
  • Experience with digital design CAD tools

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
