SENIOR SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER 

AMD Edinburgh is adding to its FPGA DSP IP team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electronic Engineer or Computer Scientist with a passion for FPGA development to join a team with access to world-class development infrastructure to work on all aspects of the FPGA development cycle, with a specific focus on the AI Engine in AMD's latest Versal product range. You'll be working in a well-established team responsible for the design and development of IP components and systems for use by the world’s leading communications companies.

The role involves developing DSP functions for use by all customers. You will be involved in planning, design, development, productization and product verification. This is an opportunity to work on leading-edge technologies using AMD's latest ACAP products.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science

Skills and Experience:

• Experience of C++ or SystemC targeting Vector processing DSPs.
• Experience of programmable logic (FPGAs, ASICs, CPLD, embedded processors or microcontrollers).
• Experience of High Speed RTL design with Verilog, VHDL or SystemVerilog
• Experience of DSP algorithms
• Knowledge of Matlab, (Tcl/Perl/Python/Makefile) to control EDA tools (an advantage).
• Familiarity with Vivado/Vitis as well as 3rd party logic simulators (an advantage).
