This role is part of a growing Cloud and Data Platforms domain, which is leading the Banks evolution and adoption of strategic platforms. The domain is responsible for the entire platform lifecycle from build, development, automation and support in order to deliver a suite of services used across the organisation. We are responsible for designing and building our platforms, operating them and working with our business users to ensure they have everything they need to be successful. The domain comprises of four core pillars; Cloud Platform, Data Engineering, Data Platform and A&V Platform. The Bank has started gaining a greater foothold in cloud services over the last few years. As we grow, we are evolving our operating model to allow us to run our services more optimally. This is a senior role within our forming central cloud operations team, which will be responsible for the day to day operations of the platform. The team will be responsible for monitoring elements of the Azure platform and troubleshooting any issues which may fall from there. The team will have responsibility for running certain features in the platform, such as build of golden images, managing subscriptions or upgrades of Kubernetes. Experience in IT operations is important for this role. We have strict change controls to manage systems in a controlled way, and experience in running this type of service is essential, preferably with cloud. We do not expect new joiners to have skills across all of the technical areas we are looking towards, but we do want you to enjoy learning and will support you to fill technical gaps. We are looking towards our Microsoft partnership to support us with this education. You will need to be an excellent teammate, be happy to document and showcase your work to the team enabling them to understand and support your work. We would want you to collaborate closely with those in the immediate team and colleagues in other Technology teams. This specific role offers a base salary between £47, 550 - £59, 850 per annum, along with our comprehensive benefits package as follows: • A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
