About the Team
Network Maintenance is one of seven divisions within the Engineering and Maintenance directorate. Our work is vital to keeping Sydney moving as we deliver routine maintenance on the railway civil, signal, electrical and control system assets on the metropolitan passenger network, and co-ordinate infrastructure incident response.
Our passionate and dedicated team within our overall Maintenance team looks after safety inspections, routine asset maintenance, incident response and defect removal across our large and complex railway network. With major investments into cutting-edge technology and network improvements, we are constantly working hard to deliver safer, more efficient journeys for the people of NSW- and we’re excited for what the future has in store.

As an Overhead Traction Linesperson, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Electrical 1500Vdc and high and low voltage AC aerial lines. You’ll carry out both major periodic and regular routine maintenance, inspections, and corrective works.

About You
You are a skilled tradesperson with qualifications such as Cert III in Distribution Overhead or ESI Rail Traction. In addition, you hold a current full NSW Class C driver’s licence and feel at home driving a 4WD or ute.
This is a shift-based role with night shift, weekend work, overtime and on-call shifts and some living away from home required.
Please Note: All successful applicants will be required to pass a Category 1 Medical and a Criminal History Check.
Salary and benefits
AVP 3.1 – 4.1 ($1,296.45 - $1,518.15) per week plus superannuation, allowances, shift penalties and overtime.
