We are recruiting Electronic Hardware Design Engineers with all levels of experience, from graduate up to principal. Depending on your skills and proficiency we will find the right position for you. You should possess a can-do attitude, aptitude to learn new skills and technologies, and have the desire to develop new and exciting products for our customers. You will have the opportunity to lead research projects which could influence the development of future technology used in our products. Depending on your level of experience, you may have the opportunity to mentor and support less experienced members of the team or lead a team yourself.

What you'll do

• Develop the product concept into a hardware architecture
• Create the schematic designs and orchestrate the PCB layout up to 10-layers
• Test and measurement including CPU, DRAM, USB, audio/video, RF, power, etc.
• Working through the usual integration challenges – EMC, thermal design analysis, memory layout and characterisation.
• Assist software teams with device bring-up and driver development.
• Write technical documentation for all aspects of the design including the hardware specifications.
• Oversee the regulatory compliance approvals process
• Work with the wider teams such as Mechanical, PCB CAD, RF and manufacturing to bring our designs to reality.

What you'll bring

• Enthusiasm for rapid prototyping with Raspberry Pi / Arduino / SBC.
• Hands-on approach to analogue and digital design.
• Experience of bring-up, debug, validation of electronic hardware designs.
• Knowledge and experience of system on chip technologies and high-speed busses.
• Experience of modern design tools and systems; including design simulation.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout experience.
• Strong written, analytical, and basic statistical analysis skills.
• Adept with MS office including excel.
