The Opportunity
The Corporate Commercial team are seeking an experienced leader with excellent commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and program management skills to be part of this motivated and diverse team for the role of Associate Director, Commercial Governance reporting to the Director, Commercial. This is a fixed term opportunity until mid 2025.
As the Associate Director, Commercial Governance, you will have responsibility for driving the standardisation of commercial activities and the ongoing development and implementation of Sydney Metro’s Commercial Management Framework. Key activities of the role include:
Managing governance and continual improvement of the Commercial Management Framework
Driving standardisation of commercial activities across the portfolio for major contract packages
Providing commercial assurance of procurement and contract management activities during their lifecycle
Managing portfolio-wide monitoring and mitigation of Sydney Metro’s commercial and industry risk exposures
Developing and managing change control of Sydney Metro’s general specifications for major contract packages
Supporting key external relationships with stakeholders within NSW Treasury, TCorp, and INSW
Providing commercial advisory support across the portfolio for construction and service provider contracts
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated leadership credentials in successfully leading and developing a team of senior commercial managers
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organisation as well as with external entities (suppliers, governing and peak bodies).
Demonstrable experience with the commercial lifecycle, process implementation, governance, commercial risk management in infrastructure or a related sector. Experience with government is a benefit.
Experience of managing and implementing change in a government, infrastructure, or similar organisation.
Relevant tertiary qualification(s), which may include commerce/business, engineering, or project management.
