Operational Intelligence (OI) builds and maintains a large part of the UK Network Operations digital tools and service monitoring portfolio. OI turn raw data into useful information that are presented to both internal and external customers through a number of channels such as interactive web dashboards, data feeds and reporting packs.


What will you be doing? 


Working as part of a team of full stack software developers, working to build and maintain a wide range of web tools, automations, and services. A skilled web developer with an affinity for front end, who aims to deliver excellent experiences for our customers and drive standards across the OI estate

 

  • Build and deliver on Service Automation & Digital capability as defined by UK Network Operations strategy.
  • Work to deliver front-end interfaces as part of technical projects in the team. 
  • Drive front-end improvements across the OI web estate.
  • Support team to deliver technical roadmap for OI.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand our digital estate to improve service delivered to our customers.
  • Work with stakeholders develop and improve tools and services to support their ways of working.
  • Work with team to maintain and manage the OI web estate.

 

Who are we looking for?  

 

  • Strong Front End Web Development Experience
  • Strong skills in frontend web development – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NPM
  • Skilled with Node and JS frameworks - e.g. React, Angular, Vue (we use React)
  • Knowledge of web design and development standards
  • Good communication skills and experience of working with stakeholders
  • Good experience working with version control systems – Git, SVN, etc.
  • SC Clearance or eligible to apply is a MUST. 5 Years minimal within the UK.
