Job Description Summary

An exciting and rare opportunity to join a vibrant team driven by the successful detection and prevention of Fraud. This role requires a motivated team player to join an existing Fraud team and provide exceptional insight into Fraud risks and issues within the telecommunications sector and develop solutions to overcome.

Whilst supporting existing operational work you will be required to continuously review Fraud MI insight to identify areas of risk and develop business cases to implement mitigating controls.

Job Description

o    Support day-to-day Fraud operations by reviewing fraud system alerts / ad-hoc reporting and taking the appropriate action to protect the customer and TalkTalk.

o    Develop reports based on existing insight to detect potentially fraudulent activity, propose solutions, and produce business cases to quantify benefit.

o    Deliver Fraud Department requirements into new business projects, ensuring Fraud risks are captured and mitigation recommendations implemented.

o    Identify and monitor fraud issues, promptly diagnose the root cause, and drive implementation of change to any existing process and policy to mitigate risk.

o    Produce quantifying models to demonstrate the financial benefit of any fraud related change to the business.

o    Build exceptional working knowledge of the TalkTalk product base and the risk controls in place to prevent fraud.

o    Act as a source of Fraud Expertise within the business

Role Requirements:

  • Confident in decision making.
  • Good team worker.
  • Good (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Able to challenge decisions in a positive manner and provide supporting rationale.
  • Able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work across functions.
  • Takes full ownership of work items and sees through to completion.
  • Ideally previous fraud or risk knowledge but not essential.
  • The nature of the role also requires working some weekends and Bank holidays.
