The transition to Full Fibre is the number one priority – not just for TalkTalk, but for the whole telecommunications industry. Due to this, we have a dedicated FTTP team and taskforce working to deliver out Full Fibre future.
The team are a mix of full-time individuals reporting into the FTTP General Manager, and cross-functional people from across TalkTalk working to accelerate this ambition.
Working within our forecasting & strategic planning team within the FTTP taskforce, as Forecasting Analyst you'll make sure we’re staying on track, or raising alarm if we need to take action. You’ll be responsible for reporting analysis and insight, and will be a key member of the FTTP taskforce as we deliver our Full Fibre strategy in the UK.
The right person will be very comfortable manipulating data, the drive to want to investigate numbers and explain variances to non-finance people. They will have a passion for seizing opportunities and driving results.
How will I add value in this role?
Prepare scheduled reports to a wide group of stakeholders to ensure that they’re informed on performance, forecast & budget – and plan based on results
Build forecasts for sales volumes and price; linked to commercial activity
Align input assumptions for forecasts with cross-functional stakeholders
Evaluate variance of forecast to budget/ plan and drivers of difference
Understand and investigate the daily performance of FTTP
Provide recommendations for commercial changes which will impact our customers
Have full ownership of numbers, including analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Complete any ad-hoc requests for information and analysis to help support make informed business decisions
Analyse MI across all key metrics to understand how to improve accuracy of the forecasts
Be able to communicate complex analytical work in an accessible manner – this information will be visible to all types and levels of stakeholders up to, and including ExCo.
What do I need in order to deliver in the role?
You'll have previous experience of analysing and manipulating data and presenting it in a form that aids decision-making
You'll have excellent Excel skills and a high attention to detail
You're a confident communicator, with the ability to translate data into compelling 'story'
