We are looking for an ambitious mobile engineer to join our team to help deliver further improvements to our Flagship mobile app along with some other mission critical internal apps, whilst looking to take ownership over the mobile development landscape in the future.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Work with key business stakeholders to manage and deliver product roadmaps.
• Help set the technical direction for the Apps team.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code and beautiful products.
• Create services and infrastructure to support mobile applications.
• Support and development of existing systems.
• Maintain and operate systems by monitoring and correcting software defects.

Eventually you will:

• Take a lead on our approach to mobile development.
• Support the cross-training of Flutter for other members of the team.
• Partnering with key business stakeholders to develop and realise product roadmaps
• Collaborate with the Software Development Manager to manage team workload, delivery timescales, and budgetary constraints

Qualifications

Essential:

The successful candidates should have experience with the following experience:

• Proven track record of hybrid mobile delivery in a commercial environment.
• Building microservice applications in production
• Integrating with RESTful APIs
• Working with GIT.
• Releasing to both Apple & Google Play Stores
• Exposure to cloud-based solutions in Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud providers.

Desirable:

• Experience writing applications using Flutter & Dart.
• Engineering and releasing complex applications and supporting them in a production environment.
• Experience with mobile ecommerce applications.
• Working knowledge or experience of Agile product development methodologies
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Experience with identity platforms and standards e.g., OAuth2, Identity Server.
• Exposure to Firebase
• Creating pipelines to build and release applications, ideally using Azure DevOps.
