The Equipment team is responsible for fleet acquisitions, fleet management, international maintenance and continuous improvement so that Toll can continue to provide service quality.

Job Description

Toll Group are searching for Fleet Support to manage the use of company capital as it pertains to moving fleet and assets in Toll. This role will be responsible for ensuring the lowest life cycle cost of operating assets by shifting equipment across business units, and identifying trends. 

Reporting to the Business Fleet Manager, this role will base out of our St Kilda Road head office, and work closely with our design team to identify customer opportunities, strategies and performance enhancing initiatives.

As Fleet Support, you will:

  • Conduct regular and formal engagement sessions with customer sites, ensuring action items are documented.
  • Work with the sites to improve utilisation of their fleet, including transfers or sharing of fleet where underutilised
  • Troubleshooting key issues contributing to outstanding service tasks for site fleet – including supplier contact, workshop liaison or escalation.
  • Reviewing fleet cost reports (Maintenance and fuel $/km etc) with maintenance teams to understand any increases in costs relative to standard/ previous, and  critically review reasons with Business and workshop.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant trade or postgraduate degree highly regarded. 
  • Demonstrated experience with design and specification of fleet with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Good mechanical knowledge of road fleet including prime movers, rigid trucks and trailers. 
  • Experience in supplier and customer relationship management.
