Major Responsibilities:
Assists with accounting/purchasing/payroll/budget duties.
Assists with the compilation of financial/accounting/purchasing/payroll/budget and statistical information.
Enters and updates and matches financial data, account information, etc.
Assists in processing accounts, billings, collections, etc.
Collects, compiles, extracts and organizes data for others to use/analyze.
Assists with calculations.
Assists with preparation of financial statements.
Distributes documentation.
Responds to enquiries by referring to appropriate staff.
Key Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary education in business, accounting or a related field.
Experience performing financial calculations or financial analysis.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Outlook.
You must also have:
Familiarity with financial and accounting concepts.
Sound business mathematics skills.
Knowledge of general statistical techniques and practices.
Ability to assist in computations and calculations rapidly and accurately.
Knowledge of accounting procedures.
Ability to assist in the preparation of detailed correspondence, summaries, statements and documentation requiring the interpretation and application of a wide range of administrative and accounting practices.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to facilitate interaction with management, staff, residents and their representatives, external agencies and the general public.
Excellent organizational and customer service skills with the ability to meet customer needs and set priorities in a fast paced environment with competing deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
Ability to support the Toronto Public Service values to ensure a culture that champions equity, diversity and respectful workplaces.
