• Day to day production responsibility around all elements of Financial Reporting and Control.
• Responsibility for completion of month-end ledger close activities including ledger vs trading system reconciliations for various IB products (bonds, repos, derivatives etc.), liaison with various teams across Finance, Operations etc. to resolve ledger related issues and close the books on a timely & accurate basis
• Assist in the production of the Annual Report and various related disclosures and notes to accounts working with all stakeholders across the bank. This also involves co-ordinating with the external auditors to support the year-end audit process
• Preparation of various reporting submissions as well as other external regulatory submissions such as FINREP etc.
• Support the monthly Balance sheet substantiation process
• Development of team's processes to ensure constant progression and improve efficiencies and controls
• Maintenance, documentation and collation of SOX evidence and co-ordinating with the SOX audit team to ensure all SOX controls are completely met
• Perform any other ad-hoc assignments or initiatives as required by the Head of Financial Reporting

Qualifications, skills and experience

• Banking experience is a must
• Financial Control/ reporting experience
• Good understanding of accounting for investment banking products (bonds, repos, derivatives)
• Good IT skills (Microsoft applications and Oracle)
• Fully qualified accountant or equivalent experience (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong IFRS and GAAP experience
