The Financial Reporting Manager is based in Toronto, Ontario and is a long-term contract / temporary position.

Major responsibilities

- Lead efforts to consolidate and prepare financial reporting package

- Cooperate with internal business partners to prepare, implement, and comply with management reporting & analysis requirements

- Consolidation of financials using excel

- preparation of financial statements

- Track and monitor actuals vs. budget/forecast results

- Take on special projects and deliver ad hoc analytical support when necessary

Requirements

- Efficient in ERP systems

- Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel

- 7+ years of related experience in preparing financial reporting package

- Passion for and understanding of financial concepts

- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative/analytical disciplines

- Experience within banking and capital markets preferred, understanding of market instruments

- External Financial Reporting experience
