Financial Controller – £30,000- £40,000 – Soho, London/Remote The Role Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking to take the next step in your career?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are Central London’s Largest Independent Estate Agency, looking to appoint a Financial Controller to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will have a varied role that ties together the three essential element of the business, residential sales, lettings and property management. Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of a Financial Controller include, but are not limited to: Daily tasks involve working closely with all three departments to ensure payments to clients and suppliers are made in a timely fashion and well within the agreed thirty day payment terms. Property Management This the department that requires the most attention to detail and the biggest demands on time.
You will work closely with the property managers ensuring that upon receipt of the account statements clients, contractors and management fees are collected and paid accordingly. The client accounts have to be reconciled at the end of each month and if requested are supplied to clients. This task is completed using the CRM (acquaint) which tracks all payments received and paid out. Lettings This applies principally to residential but also to a limited amount of commercial lettings.
You will be required to update an income spreadsheet and inform on a weekly basis members of the team their figures. You will also be required to make payments to clients, the DPS and raise invoices and where required chase the clients for payments. Sales Invoicing upon exchange and credit control.
General office You will be required to make payments to all suppliers and make the payments as per the PAYE to team members and HMRC upon receipt of the payslips from our external accountant. You are required to make sure the Avetta accreditation is maintained as well as ensure that all other certification AML, CMP, NAL’s is kept up to date. You will be required to prepare, complete and pay the quarterly VAT return, work on the end of year accounts in preparation to supply them to our external accountants using QuickBooks assisted by the transactional data from our CRM systems. Reporting You will be required to help assist with compiling data and presenting in in graph formats to demonstrate where our revenue sources have come from, in terms of staff members, a client break down, across the three main departments and physical locations.
You may be asked on an adhoc basis to assist with the compilation of financial reports for clients for pitches in the future.
