Responsibilities
The Galleys Controller will direct the entire business\'s financial and management accounting, controlling, reporting, planning, and analysis activities.
In this highly visible role, the controller will partner with leadership and other supporting functions, across the globe, in achieving the organisation\'s strategic financial objectives.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a stable internal control environment, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance while ensuring that the Company adheres to US and IFRS accounting standards.
- Being a trusted partner, providing actionable insight, developing robust financial plans, and driving performance to improve organisational efficiency and lower operational costs.
- Leading a team of finance and accounting professionals in the UK and Philippines, growing and developing talent, and initiating excellent processes
- Ensuring financial investments and business commitments are consistent with the Company\'s strategic objectives and are generating adequate returns while abating financial and operational risks.
- Providing technical guidance on contractual and accounting matters, critical performance metrics, and ad-hoc business analysis.
The ideal candidate will have:
- a required bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. An advanced degree in accounting, finance, MBA, or professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA will be a plus.
- experience as a Finance leader within a large manufacturing company, either as a Divisional CFO or Controller, and must be familiar with US GAAP and IFRS.
- knowledge and experience in financial and management accounting, including the percentage of completion method, cost accounting and control, engineering development programs, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and lean manufacturing.
- excellent computer skills and experience with SAP, Hyperion, JD Edwards, or another comparable ERP system.
The successful candidate must be effective in interacting with senior leadership as a hands-on leader who can cut across multiple functions within a highly matrixed organisation, building trust, and influencing strategic decisions.Â
