An exciting opportunity has arisen within a thriving growing Music business for an experienced qualified accountant to join and provide insightful information and to support the management team.

This innovative and growing business works on an international landscape, supporting the music industry and is a real success story, having grown rapidly over the last few years.

A key element of this position is to delivery long term financial plans to the management team, whilst also supporting the development of their planning and reporting systems.

This role will suit an experienced individual with a number of years PQE, who enjoys a hands on role that works with the management team and thriving in a dynamic and ever changing environment.
Ideally your experience will have been gained within a media, music or entertainment company and you will be familiar with royalties.

The role:

• Take full ownership of the month end closing process
• Responsible for the consolidation of the monthly management pack to include review & analysis of revenues, costs and non-financial information
• Lead the year end external audit activities, being the key point of contact
• Assist with the quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for board approval
• Support the delivery of long term financial plans for the management team,
• Provide financial analysis for major decisions, strategic analysis and assurance of business cases
• Support the development and continual improvements of the planning and reporting systems, allowing for integration into other company systems;
• Provide SPV accounting support and reporting
• Support the business unit management with analysis of results and variances and help to facilitate sustainable growth and the launch of new business initiative

The person:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with post qualified experience
• Experience ideally gained within a media, music or similar organisation, working knowledge/understanding of royalties would be a distinct advantage
• Advanced Excel, with excellent analytical and modelling skills
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and IFRS
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong systems experience, including working with reporting, financial planning and consolidation systems;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to build solid working relationships and able to effectively influence and/or challenge others
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Self motivated, able to work under own initiative and always striving for best practice and efficiency
• Highly organised, deadline orientated and adaptable
• Comfortable working with high volumes of data
• Approachable, engaging and able to instil confidence in others
