If you are a devoted Financial Analyst looking to join a fast-growing company in the Media industry, Robert Half may have the opportunity for you. You will oversee financial modeling on multiple financial products and measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this role. You will be charged with being responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. You will join a dynamic team as a key business partner in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is based in the Toronto, Ontario, area and is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity. Key responsibilities

- Flexible candidate that can organize a vast amount of information while managing high expectations

- Contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Execute and monitor forecasting reports

- Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support

- Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

- Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

- Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Requirements

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

- Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus

- Practical knowledge of Corporate Financial Planning

- Good understanding of financial analysis

- Prior experience with Financial Clearance

- Financial auditing experience

- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel

- Experience with Financial Audits

- General familiarity with Account Adjustments

- Knowledge of Annual Financial Reporting

- Comprehension of Financial Aspects

- Solid understanding of Financial Consolidation

- Skills in Financial Arrangements

- Practical knowledge of Adjustments

- Wide ranging experience with External Financial Reports

- Solid understanding of Financial Close Process

- Hands-on experience with Financial Chart

- Proven knowledge of Complex Financial Models

- Excel Formulas experience required

- Well-founded grasp of Consolidated Financial

- General familiarity with Consolidated Financial Statements

- Foundational knowledge in Excel Formulas

- Foundational knowledge in Audited Financial Statements

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Deep understanding of Excel VBA

- Complex Financial Analysis experience highly desired

- Annual Financial Plan experience desired

- Previous experience working with Financial Analytics

- Earlier work involving Federal Financials

- Experience with Excelsius

- Quality experience with Develop Financial Models

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
