Job Description
Role purpose:
Monitoring and controlling the financial performance via the Monthly Reporting processes.
Consolidation and analysis of material to support the Budgeting/ Forecasting processes.
Support Group Technology finance teams in relation to adhoc financial queries and evaluations.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Technology Financial Reporting, Monitoring and Control
- Produce management accounts for central Group Technology including delivering Month End results to Group Financial Reporting Director
- Prepare Month End functional pack for discussion with Group Technology CFO and functional heads
- Support Group Technology management reporting through developing effective relationships with FDS teams
- Manage and standardise accounting practices across the GT functions
- Technology Planning and Forecast processes
- Co-ordinate central Group Technology forecast ensuring consistent and accurate submission
- Support the central Finance teams throughout the budget, forecast and planning cycles
- Manage, deliver and continuously improve the technology consolidation and forecast reporting process
- Interface between Group Technology Finance and other Functions
- Innovation and Change
- Constantly review and improve existing processes and outputs
- Drive automation through the reporting processes to maximise efficiency and accuracy.
- Refine reporting processes standardising outputs and challenging the status quo
- People Management
- Establish strong trusting working relationships with technology finance team , finance shared service centre teams and finance operations teams.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Relevant business and commercial analysis/control experience in a Finance Department within the Vodafone Group or International company
- Proven ability to communicate and work well with senior management and influence Group stakeholders
- Financial/commercial analysis
- Accounting standards and principles
- Ideally ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified

- Accurate and timely deliverables
- Develop effective working relationships with other teams
- Clear communications and expectation management with key stakeholders
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Numerate with outstanding grades at GCSE and A level, educated to degree level
- Computer literate including Excel, PowerPoint and financial systems
