JOB SUMMARY

Now, if you were to come on board as a Financial Analyst, Operations we’d ask you to do the following for us:

• Work closely with accounting team to provide all necessary information for monthly and adhoc reporting to Compass Group US and UK; specific reporting includes;
  
  • Manage and consolidate monthly forecasts and comments from sectors
    
  • Review and follow up on any outstanding variances
    
• Work with sector leads to gather all necessary information for annual budget reporting
  
• Compile financial data and complete presentations for Executive team
  
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships cross functionally with business partners, clients and associates
  
• Act as a primary support for Operation Administrators and Unit Controllers
  
• Assist in all new account opening and visit units as required
  
• Handle queries from Operations and Management
  
• Process vendor invoices weekly and follow up on A/R invoices and follow the agreed financial calendar
  
• Analyze operating statements 
  
• Confirm paperwork is prepared accurately and timely in accordance with operations manual, client, and corporate requests
• Compile weekly reports, variance reports, and forecasts. Advise Senior Management Team and Operations Team regarding weekly labour, finance, inventory and forecast of the project
• Continually review services with the object of reducing costs, increasing profitability and efficiency, without loss of standard
• All other duties as assigned

• Degree in Finance and Accounting field required; currently working towards designation preferred
• Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
• Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking and analytical skills
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in FP&A field is preferred
• Familiar with JDE and Insight reports
• Proficient in Excel and intermediate level functionalities (V-lookups, pivot tables etc.)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, analytically inclined and team player
• Strong business acumen & professionalism
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet frequent deadlines
• Positive attitude with the willingness to accept flexibility in assignments and the desire to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel
