Mō te tūnga | About the role:

The Financial Accountant is a lead role in the Financial Accounting Team providing direct support to the Manager Financial Accounting.

You will be responsible for:

• The provision of technical advice and support of the asset management function including revaluations, impairment, and treatment;
• Support the management of the treasury function including cash management, foreign exchange, analysis and reporting; and
• Preparation of NZDF annual financial statements, month end and year end close processes and financial reporting.

Please note: This is a fixed term paternity cover until 30 April 2023.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience:

• Excellent working knowledge of relevant internal and external standards, principles, policies, statutes, regulations and NZ Public Sector financial management practices;
• Experience within a treasury function, including practical knowledge of cash management and foreign exchange analysis and reporting.
