Some More Information About The Role

This position will oversee the New Zealand Finance Systems team, taking ownership and maintenance of TM1 and the General Ledger. The role will be focused on ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met, and ensuring that day-to-day priorities and projects are delivered. As part of your leadership role, you will be responsible for developing your team (5 direct reports) as well as supporting your finance peers with continuously improving their processes.

The core responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the NZ Finance Systems team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the general ledger and TM1
  • Manage multiple priorities with strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills, ensuring all critical BAU tasks are delivered
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the team’s standard processes.
  • Coach and develop NZ Finance Systems team members
  • Promote continuous improvement, automation, and process re-engineering across the business by leading the Finance Simplification Working Group and managing the delivery of simplification initiatives under the Finance Simplification Programme
  • Project manage cross functional teams to develop effective models and reporting solutions in TM1 

 

So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?

To be considered for this role you will have to have a solid mix of both finance and systems skills. You will need to come from a finance background, ideally have worked in financial services, and you will be CA/CPA qualified. Your ability to understand data and work flows will be crucial, large corporate businesses are complicated so you will need to have experience working in a similar environment. You will also have proven leadership experience managing large teams and you will take an active interest in growing the knowledge of those around you.
