Job Overview:

The Contracts Negotiator is responsible for drafting and negotiating standard and non-standard contracts. This role acts as a liaison between Sales and Legal to resolve complex Legal, commercial and contractual issues. This role reports to Manager, Contracts Management Team while taking guidance and direction from Legal Counsel and job assignments from Contracts Management -Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, negotiate and evaluate contracts for new and add-on business
  • Perform general contract support and cross-functional coordination of business matters on behalf of the Legal department.
  • Provide advice on commercial and legal terms and some business terms.
  • Conduct contract research.
  • Handle adhoc requests received from business unit with respect to a given deal, issue or scenario.
  • Validate signed contracts have been executed following company policy and procedures
  • Manage completion of creation, regeneration and validation to service level agreement.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures with the Legal department.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Efficiently navigate through contracting systems

  • Act as a SME on the contracting process within each application
  • Research and analyze technical issues
  • Provide insight on technical resolutions
  • Work with internal application teams to develop enhancements and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of internal pricing, discount and approval models
  • Possess solid knowledge of MS Office products and general systems acumen

Organizational Agility:

  • Builds relationships with key business partners:
  • Central operations - Legal, Billing, IT and Marketing
  • Business Units - Sales, Client Development & Business Development
  • Provides superior customer support in every interaction

Qualifications:

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Working knowledge of contracting concepts and wide range of experience with contract types.
  • Understanding of the Salesforce Portal, workflow, custom reporting, modifying contract status, views and dashboards
