Description

This is a 6 months contract. The Finance Manager will be tasked with maintaining the accounting records for two business units, reporting monthly financial results in a timely manner, and assisting the finance team in this transitionary phase.

Responsibilities

•           Prepare month-end financials and reviewing month-end financial results, including variance analysis and explanations

•           Analyze financial KPIs and trends to report insights to leadership and stakeholders, and to improve forecasting accuracy

•           Prepare journal entries, accrual entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and overall general ledger maintenance

•           Manage the payables cycle – reviewing invoices, GL coding, and payment on a timely basis

•           Manage the receivable cycle – review invoices prepared by the Billings Specialist and record revenue/deferred revenue

•           Review and process expense reports, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate.

•           Assist in the transition of accounting records to Sage Intacct (system implementation)

•           Assist in ad-hoc projects and analysis, as required

Requirements

•           5+ years proven experience as Senior Accountant or Finance Manager in a SaaS company environment

•           University degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related disciplines

•           Highly organized, detail‐oriented, and accurate: Able to prioritize, work well and thrive under pressure while producing high quality deliverables

•           Strong oral and written communication skills: Interacts clearly and effectively in a fast-paced environment

•           Team player and flexible: Understands the importance of ‘pitching in’ and able to deal with quickly changing priorities in a positive, productive manner.

•           Experience in Quickbooks, SaaSOptics, and Sage Intacct is an asset
