Key Accountabilities: 

• Lead programmes to build finance capability (reporting, forecasting) with respect to the integration of the VMO2 SMB business.  
• Commercial support of projects to drive the digitisation of the SMB business (business casing, support on commercial negotiation with partners)   
• Proactively identify risk and opportunities within the plan (especially with respect to the delivery of merger synergies) to ensure early corrective action is taken by business owners.   
• Work closely with the SMB team ensure a strong understanding of performance, including developing insight and analysis to influence business decision making.  
• Build roadmap for the development of SMB finance capability to fully support the integration of VMO2 SMB.   

• Continuously identify and implement improved ways of working across the team, both in terms of the quality and efficiency of what the team delivers.  
• Be able to work under a high degree autonomy to business partner across the SMB division.  
• Make a proactive contribution to the leadership and engagement of the wider Business & Wholesale Finance team.  

The must haves: 

• A Qualified Accountant with experience and understanding of revenue accounting principles  
• A personable individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the gravitas to ensure your messages land with senior managers and their teams with the appropriate challenge and influence  
• Ability to develop strong working relationships within finance  
• Attention to detail with strong analytical skills and experience of working within a FP&A function in the telecommunications industry or another commercial organisation  

• Strong analytical mind set and proficiency with MS Excel  
• Self-motivated with minimal need for direction or supervision and the ability to prioritise workload.
