Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead programmes to build finance capability (reporting, forecasting) with respect to the integration of the VMO2 SMB business. 
- Commercial support of projects to drive the digitisation of the SMB business (business casing, support on commercial negotiation with partners)  
- Proactively identify risk and opportunities within the plan (especially with respect to the delivery of merger synergies) to ensure early corrective action is taken by business owners.  
- Work closely with the SMB team ensure a strong understanding of performance, including developing insight and analysis to influence business decision making. 
- Build roadmap for the development of SMB finance capability to fully support the integration of VMO2 SMB.  
- Continuously identify and implement improved ways of working across the team, both in terms of the quality and efficiency of what the team delivers. 
- Be able to work under a high degree autonomy to business partner across the SMB division. 
- Make a proactive contribution to the leadership and engagement of the wider Business & Wholesale Finance team. 
The must haves:
- A Qualified Accountant with experience and understanding of revenue accounting principles 
- A personable individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the gravitas to ensure your messages land with senior managers and their teams with the appropriate challenge and influence 
- Ability to develop strong working relationships within finance 
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills and experience of working within a FP&A function in the telecommunications industry or another commercial organisation 
- Strong analytical mind set and proficiency with MS Excel 
- Self-motivated with minimal need for direction or supervision and the ability to prioritise workload.
