Finance and Investment Division
Finance nd Investment (FID) is a trusted advisor to the Transport Cluster, and partners with our clients to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $71.5 billion infrastructure program.
We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. FID plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.
The work we do is vital to making NSW a better place to live, work and visit, touching the lives of millions of people every day.
The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partners to join us in FID. The role supports effective financial planning within an area of responsibility and work alongside key business decision makers to influence and shape financial plans and advising on future direction for the division.
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partnering, an ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple reporting deadlines will be key to supporting business outcomes.
Drawing on your experience in a large, complex, matrix organisation, as well as your relevant qualifications in accounting and commerce, you will communicate confidently and effectively, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and your team members.
You will contribute to the achievement of financial management business outcomes by participating and/or leading project teams driving business improvement projects and/or financial sustainability initiatives at a divisional and/or whole of Transport cluster level.

About you
You are tertiary qualified (Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline) with relevant industry experience, and full membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA/CA ANZ or equivalent).
You will have demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with business stakeholders as well as internal finance stakeholders in a dynamic matrix environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as you will be presenting to Senior Stakeholders in this role.
Demonstrated achievement at a high level in management accounting including budgeting, forecasting, planning and reporting in a large complex organisation.
Demonstrated achievement and expertise in financial management.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 9A ($138,670) – 9E ($155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
