My client is a NZ owned business in growth mode in an industry that continues to front of mind for all given the environmental space they play in. The company is circa $140M turnover with 500+ staff. The company is expanding with recent acquisitions and will continue to do so. Based in Eden Terrace, the company has recently moved premises and is now housed in a good office environment, complete with parking for this role.

The Role

The role of Finance Business Partner will report to the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of the allocated regional month-end processes and preparation of the financial reports.
• Provide support and training to all Regional and Divisional managers to ensure monthly P&L analysis is accurate, timely and commentary is prepared for the monthly business review meetings with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Work with the with wider finance team on preparing annual budgets, forecasts and profit improvement projects.
• Preparation of the allocated regional month-end processes and preparation of the financial reports, in conjunction with the management accountant.
• Ensure all contracts claims are completed and ensure contract revenue adjustments are completed on time.
• Assist the Finance Manager & Group Accountant in the preparation of the year-end audit process
• Ensure commercial system accounting and data processing is completed accurately and support is provided to users as and when required.
• Be a superuser for the operational system with admin level access rights and is the go-to person that provides support to stakeholders at all levels within the business.
• Ensure company internal controls are enhanced and implemented
• Work with the wider finance team, Senior Leadership and Operational Management on ad hoc project work, financial modelling and analysis of new business opportunities as and when required.

Your Profile

To be considered for this role, we are seeking a qualified Accountant who is commercially savvy. You will need to be customer and operationally focused. Your ability to dig into insights & analysis and really delve into the business is a must as will be your ability to relate to the operations. We are looking for someone who is willing to get involved, seek out improvements in the finance & ops areas. Your strong excel skills will mean you can manipulate data easily. This role will require you to meet deadlines, have a deliverables focus and be proactive in your approach.
