Job Description

Whizz with numbers? Join our finance team and be right at the heart of all the action. Dive right into exciting projects and learn on the job while studying for your CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification.

Find out first-hand what it’s like to be a Finance professional for a leading entertainment brand. Commercial Finance influences key business decisions. Support new product launches. Advise on whether we should invest in a new TV show or a game-changing piece of technology. Manage company-wide budgets and gain experience in our Corporate Finance team. And enjoy a collaborative, caring culture that helps us achieve brilliant things. There’s only one place you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.

What you’ll be doing

Develop your accounting skills over four year-long placements that span the entire business: from content and channels to product development and technology, sales and strategy. Each role will present a new set of challenges and opportunities to develop your skillset.

Plus, you’ll be financially supported to study for your CIMA qualification while gaining relevant experience – meaning that you’ll be able to join the world’s largest and leading professional body of Management Accountants.

Through your business rotations, you’ll learn how to set budgets and track against them, develop business cases to support projects and investment decisions, analyse data to provide key insight, and collaborate with teams across the business to meet and exceed our business targets.

You’ll have our full support to study for your CIMA qualification, including market-leading study leave allowances, access to a buddy and tutor support throughout your time at Sky.

Our application process

First, complete our short application form by entering your details and academic information. Once your application has been submitted, you’ll be invited to complete our immersive digital assessments. This may land in your junk folder so don’t forget to check it. Complete the assessments successfully and you’ll be considered for our assessment centre.

The first digital assessment looks at your behavioural and cognitive strengths through several questions.

In the second (and last) digital assessment, you will be required to review various sets of information and be asked questions related to this. Part of this stage will include a recorded video interview. But don’t worry there will be practice round.

For the final stage of your application, we’ll invite you to a digital assessment centre and give you some tasks to get to know you better. The day will give you a practical insight into the role and will assess your technical aptitude.

Once you’ve completed your assessment day, we’ll let you know when you can expect to hear back from us.

You’ll also enjoy a brand new, action-packed, learning experience with us. We’ll help you grow into a great future leader, with the right tools and support. Our 2-year learning and development programme sits alongside your apprenticeship programme and supports you during your programme and beyond with:
