About this role
Mobile trading is a fast placed and critical in delivery of the Consumer financial plan. The role provides;
Commercial support for the Commercial Trading & Sales, Devices and Marketing teams
Support weekly commercial trading process including value outlook used at Commercial Trading Board
Business case, pricing & PIR support for trading and devices areas
Support on pricing for major device launches ensuring optimal value and volume is delivered
Assurance that market pricing set delivers in line with the financial objectives of the Consumer LOB
A clear, actionable and aligned quarterly budget partnering with Commercial Planning, FP&A & MI Reporting teams
Support the planning, reporting and analysis of Mobile volume and value from a weekly, quarterly and annual Forecasting and Budgeting perspective
Cross brand (EE & BT) and multi product (PAYM & MBB) support
This is part of a commercially focussed, busy team, with good exposure to director/Managing Director level across the business. This offers strong development and progression opportunities for the right candidate
You'll have the following responsibilities
Business partner support for EE & BT Mobile, supporting the Channel & Trading teams and Device Commercial functions, supporting delivery of trading & P&L targets
Support the business in understanding PAYM & MBB trading performance. Driving improvement and corrective actions through influencing key stakeholders, analysis and governance
Delivery of weekly, monthly and annual reporting and analysis of trading volume and value. Presenting recommendations and findings up to Head of /Director level (supports Commercial Trading Board)
Support delivery of robust and challenging budgets and forecasts for MRC and value creation. Interlocked across trading and marketing teams
Support the process for business casing direct channel pricing moves and short-term tactical offers, reacting to competitor moves in the market whilst ensuring optimum value
Analysis of Mobile upgrade and retention value and base performance trends, identifying areas of optimisation
Production of PIRs for trading and marketing initiatives. Ensuring optimal performance is delivered and ensuring future plans are influenced from conclusions of PIRs
Work with MI and reporting team to enhance value performance data and KPIs
Deep dive review of long-term trading trends, using analysis to influence decision making and drive change
You'll have the following skills & experience
Commercial acumen and knowledge. Broad company and market knowledge to enable optimal decision making. Role will influence change to the commercial trading and marketing communities.
Strong analytical skills required. Ability to source and simplify large amounts of complex data into an actionable plan.
The role requires good influence and persuasion skills. The role-holder will need to evaluate and understand
trading performance and pricing requests. Turning around conclusions quickly and driving better outcomes for the Consumer P&L.
The role requires coordination and engagement skills as they will be required to prioritise and align the plans and objectives of the finance, trading, marketing and devices teams.
Working in a challenging, complex, fast moving environment (for example flagship device launches and supporting weekly trading governance process).
It is expected to be/have;
Part qualified accountant (or intending to study)
Strong analytical skills
Management reporting experience
Attention to detail
Broad commercial acumen
Communication and influencing skills
Team player
Previous experience of a mobile business desirable
