Job Description

The opportunity and about the role:

Working in a team that supports each other, reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for the management of all the financial aspects of Home Care Governement funding.   This includes mandatory claiming, reporting, providing support to operational staff & also proving support/backup to the other functions of the finance team of 6.

This role will also be responsible for the monthly & annual reconciliations of the payroll & preparation of relevant monthly, quarterly & annual reports & payments.

Responsibilities include:

Home Care Package Client set up and management in the ACOS portal as required

Home Care package financial set up (i.e. direct debit) and maintenance in Procura as required

Monthly Home Care Package (HCP) Funding Lodgement and reconciliation

Prepare and report monthly HCP budget underspends/overspends

Manage the financial component of the HCP client discharge process as required

Monthly Home Care Package forecasting and reporting to the Finance Manager

Preparation of Home Care Package Annual Reconciliation Report (in conjunction with Finance Manager & Operations Manager)

Supporting and preparing payroll data from time sheets and other payroll related records when working as backup role

Other duties as required from time to time in relation to payroll matter and preparation

As backup – assisting with transactional activities such as accounts payable 

Qualifications and Experience required:

Minimum two (2) years relevant experience

Strong communication skills – written and verbal

Good analytical and planning skills

Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel spreadsheet applications

Must have excellent attention to detail

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Current National Police Check by an ACIC accredited body. The purpose of the Police check must be stated as suitable to work in aged care or with vulnerable persons
