• Rate from $58.13 - $65.00 per hour depending on experience
• FIFO from any capital in Australia - Site based in Broken Hill, NSW.

Our client is a full service industry leader in the underground mining industry providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia in total ground support and Shotcrete application.

We are currently seeking experienced and highly motivated fitters and drill fitters for our Broken Hill Operations for the position of:

HEAVY DIESEL FITTER

 All applicants will be required to meet the following employment criteria:

• Ability to pass a police clearance, a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Hold or be able to obtain surface and underground inductions
• Hold a relevant trade certificate
• Hold a current driver's licence

It is desirable that fitter applicants have:

• General heavy machinery experience in servicing & repairs
• Experience with Normet and general underground machinery (highly regarded)
• Experience in the underground environment (highly regarded)
• A high level of diagnostic skill in electrical and hydraulic systems (preferred)
• Sound auto electrical knowledge
• Self-motivation and leadership skills (highly regarded)
• The ability to work unsupervised.

The mining site is based in Broken Hill, NSW, working a roster of 7 days on, 7 off roster in 12-hour shifts.
