Introduction
Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Boeing International Corporation are looking for Intro Field Service Representatives (FSR) to be located from London Heathrow and Crawley. The focus of the position is to provide on-site new aircraft model introduction representation & technical support to customers worldwide.
This position is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform most work onsite at customer facilities. Please be aware that extensive travel is required for this role due to involvement in multiple / continuous short-term assignments.
Responsibilities:
Utilize multi-disciplined technical expertise & company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of 787, 737 MAX, or 777 dispatch reliability and proficiency in the operation & maintenance of company products by investigating product problems, determining cause, and developing & implementing corrective action
Understand customer expectations and assist the customer in interpreting and using support data & documents, provide technical On-the-Job training of aircraft systems and Boeing products and services
Act as the on-site liaison between The Boeing Company & customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds
Work unsupervised for extended periods of time, in a wide variety of cultural & economic environments
Provide technical & operational product data to Boeing organizations
Experience in 787, 737MAX, 777 and/or 747-8 Operations, Systems, Avionics, Engineering and/or Flight Test preferred Experience in 767, 747, or other legacy models is desirable
Contingent on model-based experience and business needs, selected candidate will be part of the 787, 737 MAX, or the 777X E&E (Entry Into Service and Enhanced Support) teams
Work Authorisation:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.​
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
Required Qualifications
Must be willing to be on call 24x7 as required to support emergent airline customer requirements
Ability to travel frequently and obtain associated visas and required immunizations
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally and must be willing to traveling aprox 75% of the time, some times during consecutive assignments
FSR must be willing to work at any hour; any length of time; i.e. on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as the job requires
Must be able to travel for repeated short-term assignments and willing to accept back to back assignments, both foreign and domestic
FSR will be sent on multiple / continuous airplane introduction assignments ranging from 30-90 days and based in UK between assignments
Proven critical thinking and communication skills plus the ability to work independently as well as within a team
Requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and customers
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering and/or Technology related majors, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, EASA B1/B2 or equivalent
Exhibit an outstanding customer service attitude. Be flexible to changing schedules and requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Recent experience in 787, 737MAX, or 777X Operations, Systems, Avionics, engineering and/or Flight Test preferred
Prefer prior experience in a Customer Support organization
Requires the ability to obtain a valid passport and be able to support local and international Travel of 75%. If clearances cannot be granted from the requisite international country, the result may be reassignment, reclassification or termination of deployment
Must be familiar with 787, 737 MAX systems, aircraft ramp environment, airline operations and aircraft troubleshooting
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Prior customer support experience
