Job Description
Purpose of role: To communicate and strengthen our growing fashion message ensuring alignment of our brand as part of a close-knit global brand function
Responsible for the coordination of global press and influencer product messaging, being instrumental in ensuring maximum relevant coverage is achieved for the brand
Reports to: Fashion Communications Officer
Location: London
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the global brand PR Strategy, working closely with internal and external contacts to ensure maximise proactive and relevant exposure for Primark
- Write all types of effective PR materials with the PR Assistants and Administrators including drafting mailers and press releases
- Be highly proficient at pitching brand campaigns to online press, print and influencers
- Support the senior PR management team on international agency management and projects – with a focus on Northern Europe
- Coordinate the global influencer programme calendar working closely with Fashion Communications Officers and Product Business Partners
- Coordinate the global influencer programme creative briefs and toolkits working closely with Fashion Communications Officers and Product Business Partners
- Manage relationship with international influencer reporting supplier collating data for internal review and constant monitoring. Use this influencer data to constantly adjust and improve influencer activity for the brand
- Monitoring media and influencers on a day to day basis and producing brand reports with the global business, and sharing relevant coverage
- Work with and develop the PR skills of the PR Assistants and Administrators, ensuring the smooth running of sample and image management, the press office, showroom and store appointments
- With cultural insight, drive interest and passion for the brand through bespoke innovative communications initiatives that drive consumer engagement for both product and the brand
- Work closely with the global PR, creative and digital teams and communities, ensuring brand campaigns are executed and maximised in a 360-degree manner
Knowledge, skills experience:
- Fashion PR experience in fashion / retailing
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Photoshop are essential
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to use own initiative
- Be proactive and assertive reacting to key business requirements in a timely manner
- A fashion forward, commercially aware and social savvy individual with a creative eye
- Have a thorough knowledge of the fashion business, public relations, marketing and social media
- Have strong interpersonal skills – organised, observant, diplomatic and trustworthy and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels both within the organisation and in the external environment
