Since 1929, Leckford Estate and Farm has served as a diverse commercial business, spanning property, food production and farming, retail and leisure activities. There are 2 part-time positions available:
1. Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 09:00-17:30 (24hrs per week)

2. Monday - Thursday 10:00 - 16:00 (24hrs per week)

What will I be doing?

What our customers enjoy to eat and drink is your main responsibility. You'll use your excellent relationship building skills; make recommendations, prepare hot and cold drinks and serve food. How our customers view you will, ultimately, be how they view the Waitrose & Partners Farm. This is a customer service role involving handling and preparation of food including knife handling to meet ‘customers’ needs in a busy and demanding environment, excellent standards of service will be expected to represent the Waitrose brand. The role will involve managing displays and stock levels as well as ensuring hygiene and food handling standards are second to none. 

You'll be delivering excellent service and availability to customers, through customer contact, replenishment and housekeeping activities, being flexible to meet the needs of the customer and Farm Shop.

This role will primarily be in the cafe, food handling and preparation with excellent standards of service and hygiene are expected.

As a selling assistant in the shop you will be engaging with customers, replenishing stock, housekeeping and operating the tills to provide an excellent all round experience.

In both aspects of the role you are expected to represent the Waitrose brand as well as our amazing customer service reputation.

You will be required to comply with all specific food safety legislation, procedures and standards and upholding the high standards of the shop.

Support for the running of events may also be required.

When joining our team at Leckford, you’ll be well looked after. Our supportive Partners will provide on-going training which will help you succeed and excel in the role. There will also be opportunities for you to progress throughout the kitchen as you develop your new skills.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills.

Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
- Level 2 Food Safety in Catering Certificate
- Food Preparation in a retail environment
