FTO is responsible for ensuring AMD has the latest and greatest process technology available to support future product introductions. We work with our foundry suppliers to ensure our mutual success. Our team designs and builds test chips into the new technology to ensure it is ready for high volume production. Typical areas of activity are design, testing, quality, reliability, yield analysis and production support. FTO works horizontally across several functional organizations and is a key enablers for ensuring AMD market success on subsequent products. Be prepared, FTO is fast paced and provides opportunities to contribute across multiple disciplines.
The purpose of this position is to expedite the validation and ramp on advanced technology. Contributions will span many areas including yield analysis tool infrastructure development and optimization, yield analysis, yield analysis automation and database setup and maintenance. As a key member of the team you will have clearly defined deliverables that tie directly to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Yield Explorer Administrator in product setup.
Perform scan diagnostics and bitmap yield analysis.
Develop and maintain an efficient scan diagnostic scheduler.
Develop and maintain automated scan diagnostic and bitmap analysis routines.
Interface with foundry support personnel in support of project milestones
Desired Skills and/or Experience
Semiconductor theory and Electronics (advanced technology a plus)
Software/Scripting capability (perl/python)
Statistics Knowledge
Computer hardware
Strong organizational, computer and communication skills
