Having recently established the External Workforce Solutions program to centrally orchestrate the sourcing, contracting, risk management and access administration of the non-permanent professional services workforce, you will play a pivotal role in the transformation of how Sky manages and sources its external workforce talent.

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders and lead the MSP to drive business enablement, compliance, supplier diversity, vendor management and cost optimisation. Additionally, you will lead, recommend, and present new solutions to streamline and integrate the overall user experience. Working closely with key stakeholders and executive management across various business units, the role will provide strategic and tactical benefits to the team and wider organisation.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead day-to-day the External Workforce Solutions Programme and MSP provider within the UK
  • Drive adoption programmes such as competitive sourcing, vendor management, reporting, market analytics, and workforce planning
  • Manage supply base to drive program objectives such as time-to-fill, candidate quality and competitive sourcing
  • Proactively handle the external workforce population, through the MSP vendor, in terms of governance, selection, and offboarding, by developing standardised metrics and reporting routines to assess performance and best practice
  • Ensure key program documentation and training materials are developed and updated as required
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop workforce strategies aligned to business objectives, providing guidance on processes and policies ensuring practices are aligned.
  • Influencing and becoming a trusted advisor for the sourcing, engaging and deployment of external labour
  • Work closely with peers in HR, Finance, Tax, Procurement, Recruitment, to communicate and develop plans in accordance with other organisational/workforce planning priorities
  • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on management of external workforce that aligns with company values and ensures compliance with specific country laws

What you’ll bring:

  • 10 years’ experience in leading external workforce management in the UK
  • Vendor Management System experience and knowledge of functionality
  • Proven experience of running operations and leading transformational programmes, ideally within the external workforce market
  • Previously implemented and developed a staff augmentation program in multiple countries with cross currencies
  • Eye for detail, high level of data accuracy and can clearly influence at senior stakeholder level
  • A blend of people, data and operational skills, collaborative with peers, confident and self-aware
  • Extensive knowledge of the labour market, analytics and the sourcing of contingent workforce
  • University or equivalent degree qualification
