Stakeholder Engagement
• Create and direct the internal and external communications strategy for CBRE’s market leading Capital Markets, Valuation and London businesses across the UK and EMEA by working with the Head of Communications and key stakeholders to translate business messages and objectives into media coverage and ensure consistency of messaging internally and externally
• Work with business heads and teams to ensure Communications is a world class function and sets us apart from our competitors
• Act as a trusted advisor to CBRE’s UK leadership team
External Communications
• Source compelling information that aligns with business objectives to increase media coverage and create engaging Communications plans
• Deepen media relationships to promote the senior leaders at CBRE to deliver key messages and be positioned as market experts
• Manage messaging and CBRE’s exposure to the media at major industry events, including MIPIM and EXPO Real
• Identify market trends and use complex research reports to create and promote insightful thought leadership to position CBRE as the market leader
• Work with the Head of Communications, key stakeholders and other corporate business functions, including People, Compliance, Legal and Finance to coordinate messaging around sensitive media topics and press leaks
• Work closely with the Internal Communications team to inform the corporate content strategy and ensure key messages are shared across appropriate channels
• Lead the external communications strategy for all DE&I initiatives working closely with the DE&I Strategy Board
• Manage and coach one direct report and work collaboratively with PR agencies and regional MarComms leads across EMEA

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with the leadership team under pressure
• Good influencing skills and ability to challenge constructively
• Intuitive understanding of Business, Trade and International media with excellent media contacts

• An excellent verbal and written communicator, able to articulate complex messages into straightforward language and negotiate with the media in times of crisis
• Highly proactive with enhanced decision-making abilities
• Able to act under pressure with grace and a sense of humour

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Relevant communication experience either in house or at an agency
• Experience of crisis communications
• Clear understanding of digital channels and the possibilities they represent to adapt all media relations
• Real Estate/Financial knowledge preferred
