We have a wide spectrum of opportunities for passionate Software Engineers having varied experience levels and a combination of multiple skills and domain expertise to join our multidisciplinary team to develop impactful technologies across a range of research groups. Locations are available across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth or even remote where requirements can be met.

As a part of this team, you will contribute to multiple projects undertaken within the AEHRC. Some of our projects include the development of new platforms and applications for collecting and presenting data in healthcare, for example, data interoperability, AI and image processing using FHIR and OMOP and clinical terminologies such as SNOMED CT.

To be considered:

We are seeking Software Engineers with varied levels of experience and expertise due to the variety of available opportunities. If you are motivated to make a difference in healthcare and possess a combination of some of the skills and experiences that we are seeking below, then apply now to register your interest!

A bachelor's degree (or will shortly satisfy the requirements of a bachelor's degree) in a relevant discipline area, such as Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent relevant work experience in Software Engineering.

Proven experience in developing mobile and/or web-based applications with Angular, React, Flutter, Dart technologies.

Demonstrated industry experience using Python, Java-based frameworks and libraries such as Spring Boot, Lucene, Apache Spark.

Experience in public cloud infrastructure and containerised deployment through for example Kubernetes.

Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, participate in an agile software development process and respond to demanding deadlines with new requirements and competing priorities.

Demonstrated experience in digital health applications and standards such as HL7 FHIR and SNOMED would be advantageous.

Our teams are at the forefront of using new AI and cloud computes technologies to undertake AI challenges in healthcare, not possible previously.

If you are an Australian/ New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent or Temporary Resident with a visa that allows you to work full-time or for a specific period of time in Australia, feel free to apply.
