Our Data and Insights practice specialises in business intelligence strategy, consulting and implementation in order to deliver complete, versatile BI solutions allowing customers to make the most of their data. We are now looking for a Power BI Specialist to join this high performing team.

As a senior consultant you will have proven experience with customer facing engagements, presentations and Power BI storytelling. Being able to engage with and take the customer on the journey is key to the role. You will work closely with customers using your extensive experience to design and deliver quality data platform, data visualisation and insights solutions, particularly in the Power BI space.

In order to be successful, you will have proven experience using the Microsoft BI product suite, especially Power BI. You will also possess an excellent understanding of Data Warehouse/Platform development methodologies.

Key Skills and experience

• At least 5 years experience with the Power BI suite of products including manipulation using Power Query, DAX, report and dashboard design
• Proven experience implementing Power BI governance is an advantage
• Experience with SSAS tabular model performance tuning and Power BI model optimisation
• Implemented Security including workspace, workspace apps and row level security (RLS)
• Exceptional BIDW architecture, dimensional modelling, ETL architecture and design skills
• Experience with BIML and / or Data Vault is an advantage
• Experience developing solutions using Power BI Embedded/Premium is beneficial
• Worked with Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and earlier versions including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Semantic Model, PowerPivot
• Proven in Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory & AWS Cloud Architecture
• Experience using PowerApps, Logic Apps and Flow is beneficial
• Experience in source control and deployment methodologies
• A proven background in translating functional and non-functional requirements into high quality design documents suitable for implementation
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Extensive consulting experience and a high level of commercial awareness
• Good problem solving and relationship management skills
