A career in our Global Mobility Services practice, within People and Organisation Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients reset their talent strategies and deliver extraordinary business results through their people. We focus on evaluating and managing their unique challenges so our clients can maximise their return on the overall investment in human capital. You’ll gain a tremendous depth of expertise in all aspects of human capital, including creating sustainable value through people culture and change, designing compensation and retirement strategies, and improving human capital operations.

Our team helps companies streamline and effectively manage their international assignment programme in a cost efficient manner. You’ll assist our team with international assignee management, Human Resources, payroll, finance and accounting in addition to mobility policy, process and governance consulting.

What you’ll create and do

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include:

  • Pursue opportunities to develop existing and new skills outside of the comfort zone.

  • Act to resolve issues which prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty.

  • Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their development.

  • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.

  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.

  • Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations.

  • Develop a perspective on key global trends, including globalisation, and how they impact the firm and our clients.

  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.

  • Focus on building trusted relationships.

  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

 

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends and an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

  • Proven success and strong experience in Expatriate tax; knowledge in Canadian and US personal income tax are essential.

  • Completion of a professional US accounting designation such as the U.S. CPA or Enrolled Agent is an asset

  • Knowledge of payroll or equity compensation is an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams as well as proven ability to manage multiple assignments, clients and staff. 

  • Strong analytical, organization and communication skills.

  • An ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated business development skills and enthusiasm about contributing to the growth of the Global Mobility Services practice.

  • Prior experience in a public accounting firm is an asset

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French

  • Ability to provide flexibility in terms of work schedule, as overtime will be required at various times during the year. 

  • Occasional travel within Canada as well as International is required
