Job Description Summary

Are you a team player with organisational flare? Can you support a senior leader (an expert in agile working, if ever there was) and support and organise a very friendly team to ensure that the office runs smoothly and our content is timely and up-to-date? If yes, then we have a fantastic permanent role for you in Group Economics.

Your role would involve organising the activities of our Chief Economic Advisor in order to enable him to maximise his contribution to the business. This will include organising internal events such as colleague calls, presentations and senior leader meetings. While these will be virtual to start off with, these will hopefully be face to face in the future.

Not only will you be responsible for team administration, but you will also play an integral role of ensure that we bring our best to work every day.

• Supporting a Senior Executive and a team of Economists, the incumbent will need to ensure day to day management of the office is kept to a high standard and is in line with the Group policies and standards.
• Manage the diary of the Executive to achieve the optimum time effectiveness. Plan and prioritise a demanding schedule and produce comprehensive information to support all appointments.
• Onboarding new starters to the team.
• Represent the Chief Economics Team at various committees including Your Best and Finance Future Ways of Working Groups.
• Arrange travel requirements within the UK and overseas when required.
• Read and action all incoming queries via e mail, telephone and post, deciding on priorities/actions.  Respond to correspondence with referral to the Executive only where necessary.
• Prioritise the Executive’s workflow using own initiative and judgement from knowledge of key issues as to what action needs to be taken and when more complex issues require escalation.
• Engage with senior stakeholders within the team and outside, clarifying requirements to support business decisions.
• Arrange meetings with external parties (e.g. customers, regulators, third party suppliers) 

• Gather and provide information on a wide range of topics, including various key committee meetings. You will be responsible for making sure our mailing lists are up to date.
• Ensure compliance of the Executive Office, Group policies and standards are met and maintained. 

• Identify, monitor and mitigate risks, escalating where appropriate.
