About the team
The role sits within the Transport Finance & Investment Division, the custodians of Transport’s finances. We partner with our stakeholders to achieve their objectives while delivering value for money outcomes with a focus on achieving efficiencies in the delivery of our services and programs.
The opportunity
The role acts as a trusted business advisor and to lead the Finance Business Partner function across the Transport cluster and enables the senior leadership team to make sound business decisions by providing insight, strategic financial management advice and services such as; budgeting (allocations and prioritisation decisions), forecasting (risks and prioritisation options), accounting advice, financial policies, reporting and analysis, risk identification and mitigation, and supporting the Cabinet Submission process (advising on financial strategy and impacts).

About you
You are a tertiary qualified, end to end finance business partnering professional looking for an opportunity to apply your experiences to build and deliver a world class finance business partnering division:
You are a strategic thinker and outcomes focused.
You have experience building a consistent operating model across teams that have been brought together.
You are experienced in providing the highest professional levels of service delivery to key stakeholders while constantly working to improve operations, systems and practices.
You will possess strong commercial acumen and have experience designing and implementing business strategies, plans, and programs to drive transformation
You have strong experience dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders and the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
You are experienced in building and leading a large team of finance professionals, growing maturity and capability.
You bring strong experience in developing roadmaps for how the finance business partnering team delivers in the future.
You have demonstrated experience in change management and engagement.
You have a strong track record leading continuous improvement activities.
