About the opportunityOur client is a thriving NZ owned business supplying solutions and services to a range of primary industry, industrial processing and infrastructure asset owners across New Zealand and Australia. They employ a team of experienced engineers, trades people, technical sales, and service professionals to work on providing a seamless service to their broad customer base.
The Christchurch business has continued to expand steadily and is currently looking for a new team member to join the workshop service and certification engineering team. This is a great opportunity for an energetic technician with mechanical/electrical experience to build their knowledge and specialisation in the domain of elevated work platforms.About your roleThe EWP Service Technician is primarily involved in the servicing and certification process of a broad range of EWP equipment including scissor lifts, boom lifts and cherry pickers. You will be involved in machinery strip downs, servicing and rebuild of machinery both mechanical and electronic, with a stronger focus on the electronic. Further allowing you to develop more in-depth skills and experience across a range of EWP systems and components. Depending upon your experience and background you could soon be working your way towards becoming qualified and able to fully certify equipment. This really is a great opportunity to develop your experience on several fronts, whilst working within a friendly and knowledgeable team environment who are there to help and support your development.About youYou will be someone who enjoys working in a smaller collaborative team environment. You will have a background and experience in mechanical strip downs and electronic systems, testing and servicing. To be successful you will need.

  • 2-3 years’ experience in the servicing and testing of mechanical/electronic machinery and components
  • Ideally experience gained within a workshop environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to a high level of safety.
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good time management skills
  • Good communication – both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills
