Job summary
Design and implement at least two global community engagement programs and/or events for AWS InCommunities. Design programs and events that align with InCommunities’ priorities – STEAM education, equity & access, Local tech workforce development and Environmental stewardship. Manage the delivery of InCommunities programs, events, and initiatives following global standards with a focus on localization. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, work backwards from the needs of communities, and build programs that help achieve global community engagement goals- community interactions, volunteer hours and positive community sentiment. Identify relevant platforms and tools to build and scale global programs and events. Utilize multiple communications channels including, but not limited to newsletters, the intranet, social media, and email campaigns to publicize programs and events to drive participation from community stakeholders. Capture data to demonstrate the impact of programs & events on AWS, its employees, and the community, and communicate these values internally and externally.

Key job responsibilities
Conduct need assessment with internal/external stakeholders, including AWS InCommunities regional managers, community engagement managers, Public Policy, school districts, subject matter experts and community leaders to identify requirements. Develop a global programs and events framework, including in-person and virtual formats, that will enable achievement of community engagement goals globally. Identify organizations and key stakeholders from AWS infrastructure locations, including nonprofits, content developers and community stakeholders and build relationships and collaborate on impactful outcomes. Collaborate with AWS teams and external vendors to design programs aligned to InCommunities pillars, that can be scaled globally. Partner with AWS localization team and external vendors to localize programs and events to address needs of communities in infrastructure locations. Collaborate with content creators to create localized & engaging content regularly. Partner with PR, social media and marketing teams as well as external vendors/community collaborators to increase the reach and visibility of InCommunities programs globally to drive participation and sign ups. Support regional community engagement managers in addressing questions and feedback related to signature programs & events from local education bodies, community collaborators and non profit organizations. Lead development and implementation of a communication framework covering social media, traditional media, internal communication and other channels to communicate impact of the programs. Develop metrics and tracking mechanisms to track progress of projects, impact of programs & events and external customer satisfaction. Partner with HR to build on and develop programs that empower employees to engage with our communities. Represent AWS InCommunities publicly in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications
Basic level of knowledge of AWS services and technologies
5 years experience organizing events, both online and in person, that focus on STEAM education
Proven experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
Experience working in a fast-paced tech organization or in a start-up environment
Proven ability to deliver results in a matrixed organization
Ability to take on increased responsibilities as the program evolves
Experience developing, negotiating, and managing agreements with collaborators
Proven experience providing excellent customer service
Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CSR program management or related domains
Experience in executing projects related to STEAM, skill development and employee volunteering at scale
Experience working with constituent groups including non profit organisations and employees
Excellent project management skills
Excellent writing and verbal communications skill
Preferred qualifications
Relevant Advanced degree
Experience in working for a multinational organisation
