Job Background/Context:

The Equities Risk Technology Team globally supports the Equities Front Office Risk Management systems, providing the business with capabilities to manage intra-day and overnight risk and PNL of positions, as well as the full lifecycle of derivatives products. The organization is undertaking a complete revamp of the platform, in order to support business expansion plans, to close the gap to competition.  Extensive analysis of challenging business problems and transparent, efficient project management of a complex technical eco-system are vital to the success of the overall strategy. 

Job Purpose:

This is a high visibility position to drive the initiation and execution of the global book of work of Equity Derivatives Lifecycle program. In this capacity, the successful candidate will partner with technology and business organizations to deliver initiatives that will allow to facilitate business growth, improve controls, and significantly increase automation of trading flows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in depth business analysis focused on accuracy and detail covering all aspects of:
  • Requirements gathering
  • Use case capture & documentation
  • Process & workflow documentation & re-engineering
  • Data analysis
  • Problem definition
• Ensure the Equity Team meets internal Citi BA/PM & SDLC standards.
• Provide clear, concise and accurate Communications at all stages of a project.
• Report statuses, next steps and issues/risks
• Assist Equity IT to deliver to schedule & resolve issues in a timely manner
• Test case definition and testing co-ordination across multiple areas, products and regions in conjunction with QA counterparts.

Knowledge/Experience:

• 3+ years of working in the field of Finance Technology in a BA or Data Analyst capacity
• Good knowledge of Derivative products, preferably Equities
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle from inception to maturity
• Previous experience in of the full project lifecycle
• Proven delivery track of complex global projects
• Basic knowledge of data modelling
• Ability to navigate a database and use SQL to extract data

• Knowledge of XML is desirable but not essential
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Visio, JIRA & Confluence

Skills:

• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
• Strong SQL is essential
• Minimum of a basic understanding of data modelling & object orientation
• Detail oriented with a passion for maintaining standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Technology
• Courses/advanced degree in Finance would be a plus
