Job Description

Role Overview:

The role will be full time based in Reading (UK) but will support the business across all of its geographic regions which currently include Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Ireland, Slovenia, Poland, Czechia, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

This role is primarily focussed on the management of large volumes of equipment orders and moves which are essential to the effective operation of our store portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Small Equipment Requests

  • Manage small equipment requests and queries from stores via the store development equipment management mailbox and PRIMMS (Primark Maintenance Management System)
  • Comply with the business financial guideline parameters, seeking approval through set authorisation levels
  • Ensure appropriate suppliers are selected for the size and scale of the project
  • Ensure compliance of policy from suppliers
  • Raise and keep track of purchase orders
  • Achieve working practises to deliver equipment to stores with ease to order and on time supply and demand
  • Continue to develop a direct and positive working relationship with the store development team
  • Deliver appropriate communication and visibility of project status to all key stakeholders internal and external
  • Deliver clear concise communication to manage our stores’ expectations
  • Continually ensure dignified behaviour of external stakeholders reflect the vision and values of Primark

Equipment Maintenance

  • Support the Equipment Manager in overseeing the coordination between the FM partner base and Retail Management on PRIMMS (Primark Maintenance Management System)
  • Monitor delivery standards are being achieved
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in the workstream

Management of Equipment Storage Centres

  • Manage the process of store equipment requests for storage
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding disposal of old equipment
  • Provide inventory of stock holding
  • Monitor and manage requests from internal and external stakeholders seeking internal authorisation
  • Liaise with Primark logistics on delivery and collection requests
  • Utilise stocks to support small equipment requests

Store Equipment Transfers

  • Monitor and Manage store to store transfers via Primark distribution network
  • Authorise store to store transfers seeking approval from internal stakeholders for volume requests
  • Liaise with Primark logistics to review and improve ongoing operation

Seasonal Requests

  • Manage the seasonal requests which derive from new and development stores
  • Liaise with procurement department on supply and demand
  • Raise and keep track of purchase orders
  • Ensure clear concise communication to stores

Supply Chain

  • Liaise with our key suppliers on a daily basis in order to ensure that orders are effectively placed and expedited
  • Audit contractors on adherence of phasing, sequencing protocols and installation guidelines
  • Install a culture of improvements within the supply chain
  • Seek and improve value through innovative solutions

New Store & Refit Equipment Receipt and Quality Control

  • Work with the Equipment Manager, Fixture Managers and Procurement to maintain effective control and communication of supply orders placed on behalf of the store development delivery teams
  • Raise and keep track of purchase orders
  • Where required support the Equipment Manager in arranging the formal receipt and quality checking of equipment delivered to new and refit store development projects

Equipment Roll Outs

  • Work with key stakeholders, internal and external, to maintain effective control and communication of supply orders
  • Raise and keep track of purchase orders
  • Identify risks and drive through solutions
  • Deliver appropriate communication and visibility of project status to Retail Management

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Either extensive experience of working within a retail environment or experience of working in a Shop-fitting environment for at least three years
  • Capable of managing multiple simultaneous requests from a variety of sources and, with the support of the Supply Chain Manager, to prioritise these effectively
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
