As an Environment Manager you will be part of a team who are passionate about supporting and improving the capability, reliability, and performance of the Telco Cloud Infrastructure at every level.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

– Take ownership of our Telco Cloud environment planning by working alongside the Release Manager and Service Owners. Using your analysis of the current landscape, you will provide a clear direction of how to optimise the infrastructure and suggest where improvements, tools or expansions should be made to better support our internal customers.

– Capture forecasted demand from Suppliers, Service Owners and the Data Science team to ensure there is always sufficient capacity in our Cloud environments.

– Collate and maintain inventories of all the Cloud hardware, software, licences and certificates. Work with the Release Manager and Suppliers to standardise infrastructure releases across the environments.

– Lead a continuous review and management of roadmaps and backlogs with Service Owners & Suppliers.

– Engage with Suppliers and local site teams to ensure that parts and people are where they need to be.

– Assist third-parties and internal teams with remote access requests, and produce and review regular audit reports to maintain secure access to the platforms.

– Support the management team with budget requests, purchase orders and contract renewals.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

– We are looking for candidates who have proven experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure. You will also bring with you knowledge of Cloud environment co-ordination and delivery.

– Previous experience working with scrum teams, leading deliveries and roadmaps across multiple environments. You will also balance the needs of various business units and form positive relationships with both Sky teams and Suppliers.

– Superb communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and encourage colleagues and business areas to drive collaboration and alignment.

– Ability to inspire change and overcome obstacles and resistance. You should be able to assess and prioritise risks and articulate them to technical and non-technical colleagues.

– Alongside your experience, we look for people with a can-do demeanour who are focussed on quality, reliability and collaborative working.
