About this role
You’ll ensure the entire Openreach CTIO & Digital teams are aligned to a single operating model that embraces Agile best practices to drive high quality, frequent delivery of business outcomes at pace in collaboration with the wider Openreach delivery teams, so that together we can create the best experiences that enhance both our customers’ lives and colleague experiences. You will be involved in a combination of strategizing, designing, and driving Digital transformations, Agile transformations, Value streaming facilitations, mentoring, coaching, and training agile teams to enable Agile adoption at scale across Openreach. Working with the other Agile Practice leads and Lead Agile Coaches Pan-BT, a key part of the role is ensuring consistency of approach and best practice.
You'll have the following responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Openreach IT unit, successfully and efficiently evolve the Agile Transformation and keep it running at pace with the right strategy, governance, process, frameworks, metrics.
Enable Agile transformation in Openreach and facilitate teams’ progress toward team/organization/practice goals
Agile thought leadership - Expose our technology and service delivery teams to the latest innovative thinking and ideas on agility in technology and customer experience areas
Define and measure actionable Agile metrics to provide insights such as (1) Team Health & Maturity, (2) Performance Predictability, and (3) Business Outcomes
Leading engagements with internal teams to initiate or advance their transformation with a sharp focus on business outcomes and value delivery by creating consistent approaches and communications.
Instigate change and continuous improvement to increase the productivity of the teams and quality of all software engineering deliverables, fostering unified development strategies inclusive of DevOps, QA, Architecture and UX and a customer-feedback driven agile development strategy
Close collaboration with delivery teams and organizations to support alignment of current processes to actual in-the-field delivery definitions and processes
Provide coaching and training to technology product development teams, service delivery teams and business leaders globally
Periodically retrospect and assess current agility, quality and customer experience levels and rollout next agility improvement wave
Create and facilitate collaborative Workgroups and Communities of Practices leading to industry best thought leadership and practices
Effectively communicate agile and quality improvement initiatives and its outcome to global stakeholders
Rollout and implementation experience on emerging methods such as VSM, Design Thinking, Lean UX, Lean Budgeting in product technology organization
Engagement with Digital: Responsible for unifying the Digital Strategy with the Openreach strategy both from a Culture and IT standpoint while co-creating the Digital Way and the Agile Identity
You'll have the following skills & experience

Champion & educator of Agile Methodology: Extensive or subject-matter expert understanding of the principles, components and features of Agile methodology, with a continuous learning approach to new concepts and best practices.
Stakeholder Management: ability to manage & influence stakeholders with lack of agile knowledge and competing priorities.
Systems Thinking: Extensive experience analysing and connecting concepts and components across the entirety of a system (e.g., E2E value stream) to understand how value flows through the system, anddiagnosand resolve complex issues.
Interpersonal Savvy: Extensive experience influencing
Senior Leaders (i.e., MD, Director level and suppliers across CFUs) and large-scale teams, without reliance on authority to obtain stakeholder buy-in.
Driving Engagement: Extensive experience fostering and empowering high performing teams.
Facilitation: Excellent facilitator, with the ability to communicate and adapt your style based on the situation/ context.
Conflict Resolution: Extensive experience in effective conflict resolution within and across teams.
Problem Solving: Extensive experience solving complex problems across cross-functional contexts.
5+ years’ experience in technology and product management - Agile Product Delivery covering Development, Testing and Release Management
3+ years of agile coaching and transformation experience in a reputed technology organization
Significant experience working with organizational leadership and teams to change and adjust organizational design to promote self-organizing teams within an enterprise environment
Significant experience working with organizational leadership and teams to change and adjust organizational design to promote self-organizing teams within an enterprise environment
Experience with design and delivery of agile trainings (e.g., agile roles, agile release process, road mapping & visioning, user story writing, team building)
Deep knowledge and experience with multiple agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, Continuous quality, TDD, BDD, LeSS, SAFe and DevOps)
Experienced in training teams and launching ART (Agile Release Trains)
At least 1 Coaching Certification
Excellent communication, strong virtual collaboration, mentoring skills, consulting, influential, collaborative, and observant
Experience in driving organization level Transformation & Change Management; awareness/experience in Org Change Management frameworks – e.g.: Kotter’s framework
Has built high performing teams, and focuses on ever improving team dynamics and performance; has helped teams manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth
Hands-on ALM tools (JIRA, Rally, Version One, ServiceNow, etc.), Realtime Dashboards (Miro, Mural, etc.)
