We have an opportunity for a mechanical trade assistant to join our West Auckland client with immediate start. Their business is sheet metal and they manufacture products for leading names in the food, dairy and marine industries to name but a few.

This role is in the laser cutting department and you will be assisting the CNC operators, conducting quality control checks, helping put orders together, moving materials and helping keep the shop floor safe and obstruction free. While some engineering experience would be looked upon favourably it is not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate.

Starting rate for this role is $23 but if you have more experience we can certainly look at increasing that. There are also opportunities to further upskill and progress within the business.

This would be a great starting role for someone just finished studying a mechanical engineering discipline and looking to get real hands on, practical experience.
